New Poll: What Should I See This Weekend?

Last Week's Film
This Week's Film
Last week I saw Warrior (review can be found HERE), and your top recommendation was Drive, which will be the first film I see this weekend.

However, there is a possibility that I may get to see TWO films this weekend. (What a treat, right?) So here are this week’s poll options in case I get to see a second film.

I’m guessing that Moneyball will get the most recommendations, but maybe you’ll surprise me? Vote for your favorite in the comments.

Abduction; Apollo 18;  The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975; Captain America: The First Avenger;  Circumstance

City Of Life And Death; Colombiana;  Dolphin Tale; The Future;  The Guard

I Don’t Know How She Does It;  Kevin Hart: Laugh At My Pain; Killer Elite; Love Crime; Mausam

Moneyball; Mozart’s Sister; My Afternoons With Margueritte; Our Idiot Brother; Point Blank

Restless; Sarah’s Key; Senna; The Smurfs; Straw Dogs

If your favorite movie isn’t here, feel free to recommend it anyway. It’s possible that it is not showing in my area, or that I have already seen it, but it’s also possible that you’ll become my new best friend for having recommended something new.

  2. Try 'Smurfs"! in my current Oscar predictions, it is the 6th most likely film to be nominated for best picture!

Seriously - try Moneyball. Say thanks that you don’t have to wait until November to see it, like me :(

  3. @Kent, yeah, Moneyball does kind of stand out in this crowd, doesn't it?

@Anonymous, So sorry that you have to wait until November. But maybe the Smurfs will get there sooner?

  4. Smurfs, unfortunately, is already here, and you know what the crazy thing is? This is the second most successful film in Israel EVER. Yeah, the only movie that grossed more money in Israel is, of Course, Avatar.

BTW, I just finished watching the Ophir Awards, and there was no surprise - Footnote took home 9 awards out 13 nominations, including best picture. I saw a few weeks ago, and i think that the win is absolutely right.

  5. Abduction naturally :D Ahaha ok, I don't want you to go through that so I will say Senna which seems to be getting some momentum as a possible Best Documentary for the Oscars?

  6. @ Anonymous, So strange that Smurfs would be so popular? Even if it does have Neil Patrick Harris.

But it is good news about Footnote. As you know, I've got it in my top 5 for the Oscar nomination.

  7. @ Castor, I've also been hearing good things about Senna. I currently have it as number 18 on my documentary page, but I suspect it will move up in my next set of predictions.

As for the other movie, does anyone else find it strange that Abs-boy is in a movie called Abs-duction? I'm convinced that there is some sort of subliminal advertising going on there!
