Final Oscar Predictions! (86th Oscars: 2013-2014 Awards Season)

Because I’ve been working so hard on The Academy Members Project this year, I’ve admittedly spent less time writing about this year’s Oscar race. But I have been diligently watching a great many of the nominated films -- including all the contenders for the top 8 categories and all 15 Oscar nominated shorts -- and reading all the news, reviews, buzz and gossip that I can find. So that qualifies me to opine on which films will win, right?

  2. Agree with most of these predictions! I have Her for original screenplay, what makes yo go with American Hustle?
Hope Act of Killing wins, though you are right 20 Feet looks a bit more oscar friendly.
Foreign film. the lead character in the Great Beauty fits with the demographic of older Academy members, and obviously won BAFTA and Golden Globe, so that's my pick too.

    1. I loved Her a lot and would be very happy if it won screenplay. I just think that Hustle is probably more loved among the academy in general, and that could carry over into this category. But it was definitely one of the most difficult categories to choose!
